Prashant Datt, a Kiwi Fiji Indian percussionist born and raised in Auckland. I started learning to play Tabla at the age of 7 and have been playing and learning since 1997. In 2006, I went to India to learn Tabla professionally for two months.
Aside from Tabla, I have also been playing Dhol since 2014, which I taught myself by being a percussionist. I am capable of playing various percussion instruments such as drums, Dholki, Congos, Bongos, Octopad, and more.

I've had the honour of being part of over 60+ weddings with many more to come. From weddings to live band stage performances to intimate home events, the possibilities are endless. Being a percussionist, I am able to hop on and play various instruments such as the Drums. I've performed with the legendary King Kapisi, co-creating a track for the BlackCaps & India 2022 Summer Tour. I've been part of various studio recordings and community events also. Being an electrical engineer by day, I have an understanding of sound and lighting systems too. So don't be afraid to ask for my advice! No idea is too small or too large to bring to life!
